

Drew Weatherford
Drew Weatherford is a Founding Partner of Weatherford Capital and co-founder of Collegiate Athletic Solutions, the first committed capital fund dedicated to the collegiate ecosystem. Weatherford Capital is Central, Florida's largest private equity firm, headquartered in Tampa. The firm has north of $1 billion of capital under management and has made 26 platform investments.
The Weatherford portfolio includes IMG Academy. IMG Academy is one of the world's leading sports education brands, providing a holistic education model that empowers student-athletes to win their future and prepares them for college and life. It also owns some of the world's most innovative government technology and services companies, which are changing the way citizens interact with local government, school districts, and higher education entities (e.g., OpenGov, PayIt, BusPatrol, and Kalkomey), and innovative technology companies (Stellar, CloudFactory).
In addition to actively participating as an investment committee member, Drew is also responsible for deal sourcing, investor relations, portfolio management, and providing value-added advisory services to portfolio companies and programs. He serves on the boards of several companies, including IMG Academy, The Zebra, Summit Broadband, Arax Investment Partners, Bishop Street Underwriters, and Coterie.
Before establishing Weatherford Capital, Drew co-founded Strategos Group, a leading business consultancy and advocacy firm. As a founding partner, Drew provided highly strategic counsel to top-level executives with a core emphasis on client impact within a trinity of services: Government Advocacy, Business Transaction Advisory, and Public Opinion Architecture.
Philanthropically, Drew was appointed to the Board of Directors of the Florida Opportunity Fund by Governor Ron DeSantis and Enterprize Florida and Space Florida by Governor Rick Scott. Drew was also a founder of Onbikes, a Tampa-based 501c3 that serves at-risk and foster children during the holidays. Drew is an active participant in YPO Florida and a past Board member. Drew earned his B.S. in Finance and Real Estate from Florida State University's College of Business and his MBA from the Kellogg School of Management. Many years after leading legendary coach Bobby Bowden's Florida State Seminoles at QB, Drew now has the privilege of serving on the University's Board of Trustees and as a member of the Board of the University's Investment Committee.
