Will Weatherford
Guided by a belief in the power of free enterprise to expand opportunity and improve lives, Will Weatherford has built his career at the intersection of business, policy, and purpose.
He is the Managing Partner of Weatherford Capital, a private investment firm he co-founded with his brothers, Drew and Sam, to invest in exceptional businesses across technology, financial services, and business and consumer services. The firm focuses on companies operating in regulated industries that deliver essential products and services to the public.
As Managing Partner, Will provides strategic leadership, fosters a purpose-driven culture, and partners with visionary leaders who are solving meaningful challenges through innovation and integrity. He serves on the firm’s Investment Committee, leads day-to-day operations, and sits on the boards of several portfolio companies.
Before founding Weatherford Capital, Will served as the 84th Speaker of the Florida House of Representatives, becoming the youngest presiding officer of any state legislative chamber in the nation. He currently serves as Chairman of the University of South Florida Board of Trustees, and previously co-chaired the Super Bowl LV Host Committee, where Tampa Bay made history as the first NFL team to win the championship in its home stadium.
Will also serves on several corporate and nonprofit boards, including Dream Finders Homes (NYSE: DFH), GuideWell, PayIt, BusPatrol, CoreForce, and Kalkomey, and is active in organizations such as the American Enterprise Institute and the Florida Council of 100. A graduate of Jacksonville University, he lives in Tampa with his wife, Courtney, and their four children.
